    I haven't read this novel, but I've come across the comic book adaptation, so I don't know exactly where I am. It was a chapter after the "witch" who works for the church and controlled the mind of the princess who was the commander, and tried to control Roland's mind, but she failed because she ended up trapped due to the excess of information in Roland's mind. In Roland's mental world, she is his "little sister."

      I don't know it this answers your question but I am trying my hand in writing and that was my theme for novel. It's still in early stages but if I do release you can read it. If you want to read then just comment under this. (I don't know if I drop it or countinue it so don't get any hope.)

    I'll be stopping in chapter 15, I'm afraid I can't go past this.
    I like the takes it has on the church and religion, I was honestly enjoying it, but the fake feminism is pissing me off- no, I won't elaborate.
    I saw some comments saying that there's no harem, but the author didn't try to hide how much he wanted it to have.
    Watching the two witches dangling in the yard, Roland's wicked humour was greatly satisfied.
    this gave me goosebumps, I hated it
    Although I am curious about the conflict for the throne, I'm not that hooked. Maybe I'll give it another chance when I'm desperate enough

      Ur judging things too fast... I read till quite far ahead, and Roland has a pure relationship with Anna. Nightingale has one sided love for him (she even missed him once without his permission, he was surprised by that). And his relationship with the other witches is completely non-romantic, yeah, none of the other witches have any romantic interest in him, except, as I said, Anna and Nightingale.

      Even Anna actually came to be that way cuz she's a genius, and he also loves math and science... Which came to be their common frequency, which led to their relationship.

      While yeah there's a lot of female characters ngl cuz witches play a major role, but as the story highlights - neither are humans superior to witches (as the church says), nor are witches superior to humans (as a certain group used to say). Both gotta cooperate if they wanna survive the... I wont spoil ahead. And Roland exemplified that by employing humans and witches only according to talents, although he did give subsidy to witches on account of their previous mistreatment.

      I hope that clears u up. I didn't continue the novel cuz I found a really dope one in between and started reading it, and forgot where I was here, but otherwise I was enjoying it. I'd prefer if ppl give a less biased review. At least read one full arc.
