I found it quite interesting at the beginning, but it gets really bad.

For one, you've got illogical stuff in it. i.e. in one mission the employer hired several people in order to get a very valuable item, because he can't recover it by himself. The reward for this mission? Whoever gets the valuable item can keep it.

Another issue is that the story are basically 2 stories put together. One of the planet and one outside. The way this is done just doesn't feel right. The planet story kinda feels like filler as time moves faster there resulting in characters dying frequently. All the planet stories also feel very fast forward and have little depth.

Though by far the worst offender are garbage chapters. With this I don't mean filler, but literal chapters full of stuff noone cares about and where nothing is happening and oh my f#cking god did they become frequent!

We're currently at over 20 chapters for an examination involving 3 basic tests. One written and 2 that only involved a quick scan. There was no action whatsoever! The chapters are just full of utter garbage. Like one genius after another being introduced, with them (or others) talking about how much of a genius they're and how other geniuses (not the MC) are their only opponents. And chapters upon chapters upon chapters full of this garbage!

This novel just reminds me of that one episode from Rick and Morty where Rick’s car brake down. The main characters need to go into the car battery which contain a small universe and do some tinkering(basically telling the inhabitants of the universe to do what they’re told or get rekt). I may be nitpicking some elements but both just give off the same vibe. Planets are being developed and then exploited. Basically you are this almighty creator that tells these innocent people what to do and how to do it. Just not my cup of tea.

Supposedly the residents have an innate desire to worship and follow the commands of the planet master which isn't surprising since a planet master could instantly kill anyone with just a thought. MC's knowledge is still helpful for the beginning and he purposely nurtures the civilization to be independent since there's no way a teenager is going to be tactically smarter than a team of genius tacticians. Most other planet masters do the tactics themselves where the residents just blindly follow.

That doesn't mean the MC is useless since he's responsible for introducing new species and resources and nurturing the planet. It would be abundantly clear to any resident that the planet's growth and development is intrinsically linked to their god.

All that said, you're right to drop the series. It's a deeply flawed story filled with chinese cliches and drawn out tournament arcs. If you're curious the civilization meets parity with our Earth's technology at around chapter 180 for the MTL. That's 370+ for translated chapters because for some ungodly reason the translated split the chapters into multiple.

It have good concept but author fail to do it justice.
It lack fundamental worldbuilding logic, you have to accept things as they happen without any rhyme or reason.

MC keep meddling on planet evoluation at primative era instead of letting it grow to mordern age. He can wait millions of years of evolution but cant wait a few thousand years to modern age?

If he want origin energy he founds an easy way with low level world, even if gain is low he do a few each day and speed up time but nah MC gonna do stupid things instead of using his tiny brain.

Most stupid thing is MC main focus is getting into good college, and after college getting good university. Which he DONT NEED coz his planet evolution is depended on system and not artificial management. I really hate chinese sheep mentality of 'Go to school or you wont success in life.' Luckiy he dont have parents or they'll be bugging him to become doctor I guess.

Dont get me started on school competition. Its the most generic xianxia shit ever. Full of spectator who talk shit about him half the chapter, MC win, "omg how? impossible! But he wont defeat next one" rinse and repeat.

Its best to shut down your brain and not ask question because you wont be able to answer them.

Edit: CH 65/66/67 Author actually spend 3 whole chapter on audience talking and speculating how MC will lose the fight!!!!!!! 3 damn chapter nothing but peanut gallery. NOW I have seen it all!!! Dropped

This is a really terrible review that doesn't do it justice. Yeah, it's written in a way slightly typical of chinese novels, but at least he doesn't yet have people coming for revenge after getting beaten. It's also a fairly unique premise. No-one from his world has seen normal technology in action, as it all transcendent based stuff such as cards, spells, talismans, magic and so on. Because the MC is transmigrated, he understands from his knowledge of earth sci fi that an ordinary world can get pretty strong too. He has the basic abilities to speed up time for his world, but even that doesn't get skipped too much in the plot. He doesn't instantly reach spaceship level, he's still building up to earth level tech. His world is also slightly different to earth, in that many species developed slightly differently, so he currently has dinosaur level creatures living on the world too. He does have a unique ability that comes with transmigrating that tells him the best possible course of action for his world, such as what to introduce, but so far it's been very sparse and not used more than once every 50 chapters. He wows the other people by showing them guns and other normal tech can do just as well as magic.

This is a terrible way of looking at things, Just because he doesnt have all the cliche with with broken engagement, damanged spiritual root, spirit grandpa and arroagant youngmaster doesnt make this a good book. The tournamanet arc was one of the worse written cliche pos i've seen so far and the rest of the plot doesnt fare any better. The only thing going for it is a single idea about technology in magic world shtick which gets old real fast, paired with that terrible plot he calls writing.

This have 3.6 star rating on WN, you should know that site give any random crap 4+ rating yet this fail even on that place. Imagine how terrible later plot must be!

This novel is really good, it is kind of similar to The Era Of Gods, the MC awakens a planet and makes his own world, most people awaken certain magical energies in their own worlds such as true qi and so on however the MC doesn't and just takes the science path, in my opinion, this novel has been great although there is some of what could be called face slapping there isn't too much and it's not too forced either considering that it was the MC's debut and he was using mortals to fight against immortals, it's worth a read if you like kingdom building novels
