    Anyone expecting anything other than standard wuxia stuff before chapter 200, change those expectations.

    I think we will see the life of the MC as he becomes 'immortal' in cultivation, and when he reaches the peak it will change to modern era. As in a new book.

    It's not fun to read, MC doesn't have anyone he can trust. Even his father or sister, knowing that the novel is slow cultivation life.

    And the story just become bullshyt after MC decides to just restart his cultivation and join 5 element Sect.

    Man, I went into this novel fully expecting run of the mill, garbage system slave trash. And for the first 15 odd chapters, that's exactly what I got, but reading further and finishing the first couple arcs, the character development the author intends for the mc begins to show through.

    This isn't a power fantasy novel, but so far it's rather a street level xianxia story about an initially insufferable brat wizening with age & learning from the tragedies of other cultivators.

    Give it a try, despite it's slow start, without that context the rest of the story would be lesser for it.

          Well if they're recording in this way their's only 3 options it's either a magus related story maybe the immortal magus forgot it's name though or maybe a simulation story or just a really long period and that they have to skipp but still show the progressive progress the mc has gone through in wich will expand the list significantly

    MC has no backbone, he is the epitome of laziness and someone without a goal. He justs wastes away life, and is like a leech, leaching of from his family. He only cultivates the minimum amount required, because he is lazy, and since he does not have good spiritual roots, it would be a waste to train more... at least this is his mindset. However he has grand visions. He can not do anything right now to help the family, but when he becomes powerful, in a couple of thousands years, he will protect his family from anything that happens!!

    Not to mention that the mc is not even considering how to play around his almost unlimited lifespan, such as training on life draining techniques, but he stays in a f#cking mountain to farm. The mountain has been given to him by his mother, and it is protected by the family. I haven't seen him to do any studies on his lifespan yet...

    I would say, if I had ever this kind of mindset and character, I would go straight to kill myself (am not joking). Having no goal to live for seems miserable. This is till chapter 8. I am from the neutral dao.

        i will have to disagree with that. a personal goal is very important when we are talking about immortality. here according to the comments, the man has no goals but he is ambitious. ambition without the hard work and time spent is poison to any society, they are parasitic leaches that need to be burnt away. if you don't have any goals then find a purpose.

        what do you mean by this? We are so numerous hence there will a few brilliant minds popping up leading the innovation.

        there is an aspect that says necessity is the mother of invention. But these people are parasites that don't innovate, especially when you are in a cultivation world with long lives. you just waste your life away.

        p.s. it is to be noted that i am aware that the mc does improve after a rude awakening and this is also a fact of life. but Overlord did not say it in context of the novel so i will also not say it completely within the contest of this novel
