Mc is stupid, conceited, thinking he owns the world because of Emperor's memories.
He is a soft, easily manipulatable moron.
He is also horny AF for some reason(perhaps teenager body?)

Girls are as usual, trouble magnets. They do have some semblance of personalities though. But that semblance gets washed away pretty damn fast.
He doesn't try to hide them so he gets hate from everyone.

It's stupidly funny how fast opponents turn to life-sworn enemies. You almost think the world is run by Reputation, not Strength.

As most CN novels, he doesn't make creative life choices-he only does the orthodox path(with 3 professions💀).
Also, his talent doesn't seem to be that impressive-he only cultivates fast because of superior supplements-but then again, so far it is only the foundation-building stage. I can't judge his success in the comprehension stage though. But he is quite good in understanding combat methods.

Worldbuilding is, per custom, block-based(from the weakest town to almost weakest city to strong city to... You get the gist.)

Besides that, it seems pretty uninteresting-there are only the basic variables when it comes to combat effectiveness(Special spirit fruit-innate strength,
grade of combat method and mastery of it-including defensive, offensive and movement method,
inscriptions,
weapon grade) So far there are no soul methods,
support/auxiliary special skills,
bloodlines,
beast tamer systems(they got two beasts and they automatically became pets with nothing to acknowledge them(no blood drop, runes, nothing)) and
special methods. Oh yeah there are also no body refinement methods.(By chapter 87, maybe later).

Writing style itself is not too bad with few hiccups(fillers). But when they are, it's usually about women.

Author presents MC being the world's best mercenary(in his previous life)-it doesn't show anywhere(in second life) other than in his "killing intent".

Have read to chapter 87.

If it improves later, comment what improves/is added.

To be honest i have read this novel twice now and i actually like the pacing a lot. There is a harem but it is not big and they have their own personality and their own story.

Most of the story is focused on running after the harem but their story is quite a nice read and the progress itself is the story of the mc and the 'secrets' are told and spread quite well so you always have a 'i need to know this vibe.'

There is nothing that i found unlogical. This is very important to me and the mc is not stupid. There is no real dark moment to give bad feels either though it is mostly because idc about the people that died

I would give this a 8.5/10

World building is decent but not amazing
The character development is quite stale but they are fine the way they are.
The pacing is in my opinion the best thing of this novel
Suspense is done quite well and a big part that makes stories good.
Personality of the characters are done quite well as well and they are not stupid or have weird emotional random outbursts

This is The worst wuxia novel I've ever read.

MC is a hardcore simp for his "family"
Which isn't even his family considering he's a reincarnated/transmigrated person.
He wastes resources on them which he could've used himself.

Then the harem, ugh don't even get me started.
This novel is tagged harem but the harem always disappears only to reappear every 50-100 chapters, and there was a girl he was interested in but later he got cucked by his father that had been gone for almost his whole life who only appeared to step on the son and take away his women.

Either make it a proper harem or no harem at all. No cucking or shit like that.

Then there's mcs personality.
He's a big wimp.
He had 3 beasts he had nurtured and cared until they were reasonably powerful, then a random powerful little girl comes outta nowhere and is like "can I buy your beasts?"

Mc:" oh gosh oh gosh, she's so powerful I'm shitting my pants like a little sissy.
No no please mistress please take my beast for free because I'm too pathetic to stand up for myself."


All in all, the author of this novel is pretty pathetic to make an mc such a pushover.

It's alright, not the worst cultivation novel but not the best either. if you are bored you can read it, if you want a good high-quality cultivation novel I suggest the birth of the demonic sword. I read War Sovereign till like ch 370 or so and stopped cause a side character was crippled twice, it was a repeating plot so I gave up. Also, I don't like harem and the romance in this isn't great either.

Don't waste ur time on this trash novel. I read 1k chapters cuz I was bored af but I just couldn't take it anymore.
1st - the action/xuanhuan/xiaxian aspect of the story is just like any other. Nothing new, nothing interesting. Simply boring and skippable fights/breakthroughs.
2nd - plot is the regular one where the mc is born in a village that is under an empire that is under another empire that is under a dynasty that is weaker than someplace else, the foreign lands, which are the strongest force in the cloud continent. I'm guessing cloud continent is the weakest one for sure and he will just keep moving up in the ladder.
3rd - romance/harem time is fuking non existent. The mc and his girls which by now are 3, maybe 5 but the other 2 are kinda forced by his mom, flirt a lot in the beginning when the characters are introduced but after that they simply become sex tools. These scenes are skipped by the way. The most annoying thing is that the author can't write a story with the girls around and so he always finds a way to send them away. His 1st 2 girls were away from him for literally over 600 chapters (or more, i can't even remember when it was anymore) and he still hasn't met them. It's been like 7 or 8 years in the story and right when he was about to meet them the author pulls something so stupid out of his ass that I simply couldn't read this anymore.
4th - his family aLSO stays with him most of the time but suddenly, since he was starting to get to strong and his mom was being left behind, his dad, who btw was supposed to be dead shows up and when the MC leaves it turns out the father is op af and simply took his mom and the other 2 girls I mentioned in the harem section outside of the cloud continent so that the author doesn't have to bother with them for awhile just like with the harem, the author can't write a story where the important "cast" stick together. He MUST make them disappear for over 500 chapters at least each time.
And btw the mc has memories of a guy who tried to take his body who was already a master alchemist, weapon craftsman and inscription master which basically made him op af without even having to try, but the fuking MC, stupid as he is, doesn't even use this "gifts" more than once, at least that I remember, to escape/avoid conflicts and progress his cultivation smoothly.
He is also a transmigrator and that becomes completely pointless and irrelevant so I don't know why the author made it like that.
