John Browning, a former underworld assassin, went to attend his friend Angele’s wedding party but ended up meeting his former colleagues. Before he could think that the whole wedding ceremony was a setup to catch him, he felt dizzy all of a sudden!

At that moment, he knew that his lifelong friend had already betrayed him and sold him out. John was humiliated in front of hundreds of peoples and was forced to kneel in front of Thomas, the underworld assassin organization leader.

About the MC, the MC is a murderer in his previous life, but he is not like the other murderers in other novels who only killed corrupt people, or bad people, basically heroes disguised as murderers, the mc killed from child to old man, and still liked, he is basically cold, calculating and with little or no morals (I saw a lot of people talking about the clone, I didn't understand the people talking bad about the mc because of that, the clone was created for the purpose of feeling the emotion of love for power comprises a spell, so the clone is a version of the mc if it was a hero and had morals, and no one liked the clone, which automatically you would like to like the mc, I think it's fun he's a Charles simp version, even an MC sometimes is speechless with the clone). About the system, this is one of the few novels I've read that explains what the system is and its features, as you advance in the story you and the mc himself realize that the system isn't even that powerful, it's a piece of cake for the powerful from the novel to make a system (even the mc can). What I don't like about this novel is that the MC is nothing special, yes the mc not special, he is not a magic genius, he has no plot armor (it is explained about luck, and there are quite lucky people in this novel), the system isn't worth much in the grand scheme of things, almost everything it has and its rapid progression is because some higher being wants it to get strong fast for some unknown purpose in the future (a very realistic transmigration, but it tastes bad mouth when I received it). If you want to read this to see the adventure of a fire mage, with epic magic fights, don't read it, the novel is about mystery and most of the powers are conceptual and don't cause much destruction (there are some battles with a lot of level destruction country).       The first arc is the absolute worse of this novel, it feels like its written by a completely differnt author from the later one. I'd say give this a try, this have one of the most facinating magic system i have ever seen since Lord of Mysteries.

          yup, first 30-40 chapters are garbage, Its highscool Invisible Dragon level writing, you can even skip it tbh. But later when he gets his cheats and the next arc starts, its gets better and keep on getting better. I cant tell exacly when the writing quality change since its been awhile i read it, but trsut me, im not messing with you.

          I mean to have 4 star rating on this site even with thay abyssmal starting means there something more to the story ryt?

    Author really need an editor for his novel, apart from that, this novel is golden.

    1. System in this novel is well done, with perfect risk to reward ratio. MCs system is not even big of a deal at grand scheme of things, as many powerful characters could easily suppress it.
    2. World building is extensive, extending to universe or possibly multiverse too.
    3. MC can't even catch a break and always finds himself in a sticky situation and most of the time, it's not even his fault. He finds himself in conspiracies at divine magnitude.
    4. Side characters have their own individuality and even MCs Lackeys have their own lives and aspirations, which is nice to see.
    5. Plot is always engaging with some new conspiracy (either single large conspiracy or multiple intertwined conspiracies).

    Bookmarked for future reading.

    It good novel and can be one of the best . The author just need more experience , i dont know if the author make other books but the idea contain in fire mage is unique . Hmmm if i can make comparison this novel is like what you answer in your recitation but you know that whats in your mind was better answer hmmm not perfect execution i guess

    It's like the author have a masterpiece plot , but don't have complete ability to execute it.

    All in all its worth to read ...
