    Things you should know before reading:

    1- Lotm is not for novice readers, reading this first will spoil the experience with many other novels, simply because it is so well written, either in grammar or history
    2- Side characters are very well done, each one is unique, but they come and go, don't get too attached to any of them, the journey is totally focused on klein, and these characters only accompany him at specific times.
    3- The construction of the world is wonderful, along with the power system, but many things depend on whether the reader is able to perceive and understand.
    4- I saw a lot of comments complaining about the MC, but it seems that these people couldn't understand him, again, it depends on the reader, klein misses home a lot and has no purpose, so he often just goes with the flow of things.
    5- The MC is on the side of the hero, if you are looking for a villain or anti-hero, you will be disappointed.
    6- The real plot of the story takes a lot of chaps to develop, only after it goes to the 4th level, but that's precisely where the story shines and where it is so praised.
    7- There is no romance of any kind, there are signs but they are few and far between, with nothing concrete.
    8- This is just book 1, the author is still going to write book 2, so there are things that are left open, to continue the plot.

      10- if you don't like the first 100 chapters don't bother to read the rest anymore because I read till 300 chapters with the hope that this becomes better but no, it was just 20% filler, 75% world building, 3% action, 2% the rest

      This novel is really not for novice readers, I read 1000 of novels but none of them was as boring as this, if you like a story where there is a HUGE amount of world building and filler with little action or progression of the strength of the mc then this novel is for you

      The world building is clearly very good you moron, most of the time this novel focus on world building how could the world building be bad. Even the author of those generic cultivation novels who like to write 1000s of chapters understand that too much world building with little progression of the plot or the strength of the mc is bad, clearly the Author of this novel doesn't understand that as it takes more than 300 chapters for this novel to be good according to your words.

      calling this novel trash is simply a humiliation to trash, at least when I hear the word trash I have some kind of strong emotion but when I was reading this novel I didn't feel any emotion aside from boredom, no excitement, no joy, no anger, no sadness. even 3 years ago when I was reading a trash face-slapping novel I felt anger when the mc was humiliated and joy when the mc was face-slapping, but reading this novel Filled with world building to the brim and little action or progression of the strength of the mc I was just feeling a little curious at the beginning and bored at the end.

            I know, I just had a really bad experience with "infinite mana in the whatever" novel
            it is just a wish fulfillment/trash novel that I enjoyed, yet I couldn't for long because of the fanbase.
            I like talking about the novel in the comments and getting more opinions, and since I am not an English person nor do we speak it here for the most part, I don't have any friends to discuss it with so really it is talking with the fellow readers, or reading quietly as no one else exists... which I don't like most of the time.

      Nah this book is better and as far Chinese webnovels definitely the best certainly compared to those two.

      Using objective measures this book has been one of, if not the most successful CN fiction to be released in the last 3 years. 1 more book waiting, physical copies on different languages, a video game adaptation and an anime in the making. It popularized and brought Lovecraftian fiction to the Chinese scene.

      Also Reverend Insanity is garbage. It's edgy trash with a brooding MC who can't stop moaning about how we live in
      a SOCIETY and it's cultivation is utterly childish. Raising bugs are for little kids. It's a peak fiction for edgy teens and pretentious pseuds. It's like your 14 again and you think Nietzsche is deep.

          I think you're looking for a different book if you want fast paced action with an OP MC. You can try 48 Hours a Day and My House of Horrors for that, the action never stops on those novels.

          While the MC does become really broken later on higher sequences and the book 5 has some of best action scenes I've read during the Pirate arc it's not really the focus.

          The novel is like this very giant puzzle that focuses on... mystery, with every pieces fitting perfectly by the end. It's a slow slice of life adventure of a guy to becoming a lovecraftian god.
