While I was reading this, I fell asleep

For anyone who couldn’t stand the English names, MTLNovel has every chapter (I think) without the translation using those kind of names. I’m not sure how the translation stacks up to all of the chapters on here, but it’s definitely more readable than a lot of the MTLs I’ve seen. It’s under the name Mysterious Recovery on there 👍

This seems considerably good, just can’t understand some parts due to translation of names but overall is pretty great as the mc has actual character development and plot of this is really fun to read through as well

Better translation, lower chapter count.

For people who feel like the names are a problem, i would recommend the RewordR extension to change the names to what you like.

This is really interesting. The only things I don’t like about it is the Shakespeare type language that nobody uses nowadays, which make me uncomfortable and the weird names. Some names are basic English names, Chinese names, and other weird words for names. For example, Right, Rain, Strong, Writing, Catch, Calm, River and so on. If you were gonna translate the names to English, do so for all of them, and why use these words that clearly aren’t names? I feel like without these two negatives, the novel would have had potential to be a 10/10, but this is still good if you can overlook those problems I stated. Also the mc is really to my liking; sometimes ruthless, shameless, smart but also has some humanity, so I will still recommend this

Well as someone who read hundreds of light novels and 10s of thousands of chapters, I usually skim as most novels are fluf and there ain't much to remember

But this one? This one shouldn't be a light novel it reminds of me actua story books that keeps you at the edge reading every word waiting for each twist. Usually I expect the twists that turns up in the novels but some of them were actually shocking like wtf

Main critic: Names of charecters are translated so the names don't make sense go past the names so far the novel is great.

The first arc lasts rought 15-20 chapters read them then go at your own peril.

If you like mystery, twists in the story and a mc that actually develops or a ruthless one? then this is the perfect novel for you

Bad chinese bullshit.

Why did the translators change all the Chinese names into English names and why are the translators using fancy words in a chat between friends for example:

Miles:Yang Jian
William:Zhang Wei
Grace:Miao Xiaoshan
Mr. Right:Mr. Zhou Zheng

It feels better to read this novel in MTL.
