          You really shouldn't take the reviews here too seriously. There is no rape scene, just a sheltered girl that gets fooled by an obvious early villain of the series. And the scene is only alluded to, it isn't in any way explicitly described. It is also not right to say there are no deaths... Those do happen, but the story only has a few chapters out and not that many important characters to have very significant deaths. On top of that, it is a series involving necromancy, so you can expect the concept of death to get a little twisted eventually.
          I'd say, give the story a chance, specially if you read the other story by the same author (Chrysalis).

    Besides novel is great. Author show us idealistic youth who struggles with unethical necromancer class. And boy, necromancer here allows only humans to be raised so dillemas are hard.
