In the depths of a newborn universe, a cultivator takes advantage of the abundant energy to refine himself a treasure. But after 14 billion years of refining and quite a few more to go, he decides to entertain himself by releasing countless systems and watching how the creatures of this fledgling universe handle them.

On Earth, a young man, lost and confused about what to do with his life, sits in a park and looks up at the night sky. A shooting star, a wish and a bang. When the boy finally wakes up he hears a sound, "assimilation complete. Launching System. Welcome to the Midnight Inn. Host Designation: The Innkeeper." Collapse

    Expectation: mortal got super opportunity.
Reality: Ignorant MC with a big family background.

Poor kid with Lamborghini vs Rich kid with Lamborghini. which one more interesting? somehow author think the later more interesting....

Just imagine, for what moron shake his family need to keep it a secret from him, but not to his other siblings. Maybe the author will drop some crazy reason later, but I no longer care.
    I am done here

I get your point but the mc has no knowledge of his family's background in regards to cultivation. He doesn't even live with his family and thinks that they are just mortal archeologists.

come on man, MC should have live with them at least when he was a child right.

Imagine yourself as an older brother in 3 siblings. Your parent and your siblings know that we are rich as hell.
somehow you think you are poor because you move out of your house in your teen? In no f#cking hell that realistic.

Well it's another story If you have autism.

To not really spoil anything important I'll be vague. His family has kept him away from the cultivation world because they believe he would not live long as a cultivator because of certain family situations. As far as the mc knows his family are just mortal archeologists with no knowledge of anything cultivation related till around the second quarter of the about 800 avaliable chapters atm.

Other than that he has a normal family relationship for the first few 100 chapters of the book then starts to keep his distance for reasons i won't mention.

    Pretty good novel joy
It has good world building, characters etc and the story is quite good.
The problem is the author gives so many chapters as fillers. The chapters can range from exciting fights or standoffs to moments where the mc drinks some cosmic stuff qnd had a divine shit( it happened). pressure
Well thats this cultivator's opinion 8

    I am getting f#cking bored.
What is the meaning of managing the inn if he can't raise cultivation directly. What is the inn even giving him as incentive.
I don't even know why he work in it like some slave.
If his family had so much strength then why don't he have a bloodline. Wouldn't he be some sort of prince being the second child and being a boy as we see from his interaction.

Yeah. Now most of the authors are trying to dramatize slice of life content. They are adding some slice of life material and want to transform to grim dark shit.

This one is a pretty solid blend of action/adventure that's relatively well-written. The inn parts aren't always the most prominent so I guess if you're a stickler to that, it won't always be the best experience but so far, it's been a pretty decent read.

Naive protagonist. Author keeps trying to add more and more nonsense to the worldbuilding. MC is supposed to be the innkeeper yet the novel barely has anything to do with inn-keeping. As one of his rewards he's received a cultivation technique but instead of cultivating his own strength, he's running around like a headless chicken. First person he meets after cultivating in his own world turns out to be a cultivator that forces him to register himself as a cultivator with some bullshit organization. His family is OP cultivators but are keeping the mc in the dark about cultivation, saying "we'll tell him when he turns 50" like wtf how would you know he'll survive till 50? MC has a freaking brain tumor. Overall, this novel is just some naive protagonist living his naive little life.

They are very against him knowing. So they are very VERY "hands off" in a sense.

Unless he has a reason to get checked medically. They would probably never know.

As long as it isn't instant, he would probably be fine. It might be close though.

Ok, before chapter 414, I believed that this novels strength was it's worldbuilding and it's ability to show concrete evidence of progression, be it in strength or wealth. After chapter 414, I no longer believe that. In fact, I no longer believe it has any particular strengths, because EVERYTHING IN THIS NOVEL IS AMAZING!!! Holy f#ck, 414 is possibly one of the most hype chapters I have ever read in any novel ever. The level of sheer badassery shown should not be possible to put onto paper. This novel has now shot up to be in my top 3 novels of all time. It's just that good. I actually cannot heap enough praise onto this novel. Thank you for producing this masterpiece, mr lifesketcher.
