At first I was starting to be a bit doubtful about the high score of this novel then I changed my mind ....I am around chapter 550 and I can say that while it Is true that the story is full of the classic cultivation novel cliché, with the MC always offending and fighting against stronger enemies and a repetition of the same "arc" with different characters and settings and power level but IT WORKS and FITs perfectly with the story. The author add a bit of comedy and the MC acting sometimes as a fool allowing to get a breath of fresh air both during and after the fighting arc/the MC being hunted arc. Moreover all of the clichés and the supposed plotholes are merged and justified in the story in a coherent way...All the elements you would hate in a cultivation novel like repetitive arcs, the MC always biting more than he can chew, long separations with love interest, seemingly dumb decisions are all explained in the story with reasons that fit the plot line. Since the beginning it is hinted about what js the essence of cultivation considered right in this novel : that is the cultivator (MC) never bending and always fighting against his enemies no matter what ....so everything that happens fit with this idea. Moreover the author explain why some things that would make me ( and most reader ) rage quit reading a novel, happen or not in this novel, in a way that fit the plot line and the world he created thus making a cliche cultivation novel with hateful elements in a incredibly good novel of the genre...The romance is also decent. I would prefere something better: the female characters they won't always stay with MC but it is done to allow them growing stronger, following their own path thus avoiding them being forgotten or discarded or at least this is the impression I get based on how the author developed the female companions of the MC till chapter 550...in short I think it is a worthy novel to read even if sometimes you need to bear with some elements that placed in another novel would probably make the novel to be labeled as trash. In my opinion this novel is one of the good Chinese novels. Although it contains some chinese bullshit novel logic.
It has very good comedy, the characters are likable and diverse, and the combat is very good.
The world building is also very good and its slowly explained so that it doesn't require info dumps.
It does suffer a bit from repetition but the way the Mc finds new and silly ways to solve his problems is very entertaining.
You have the classic beauty chasing but at least it's done better and with more focus on the personalities of the women.
It contains a lot of faceslapping, literally, the Mc slaps people in the face all the time and succeding in humiliating them every time.

I don't understand these reviews. How could u ever say that this Trash is good? It's simply bad. Everything about it is generic, be it the plot, the harem or the usual brotherhood kinda thing or the fact that the MC is always fuking running away cuz he had to provoke the senior tlcuz he disrespected his brother.
And I see a lot of people praising the harem which can only mean that they haven't read many cultivation novels cuz he's simply picking beauties here and there and fter their introduction and initial flirting they just become irrelevant.
It's a solid 2 outta 5 tops.

After over 200 chapters, I realized the so much of lost time - horrible plot,full of holes in the plot, inconsistency, mc gets the intelligence of a goat close to woman, mc simp , mc with IQ 40 , repetition, poorly developed world, one-dimensional characters that disappear in some chapters (except the forced ones) - an extremely beginner reading and very poorly made . It is not worth reading but if you do not mind the negative points and can turn off your brain a little - you can have fun with the slaps in the face and the fights - obs: if you try to read recommend that you have a remedy for headache near

is there a Dao or Law here ? That when a cultivator reach a certain level he/she have to comprehend a Dao or Law here?

Arrogant unyielding MC

Arrogant enemy characters
And a lot of face slapping.
BUT !!!

The repetition on this novel goes to some next level shit....
What you are reading on chapter 100 is exactly the same with what you are reading on chapter 200 , 300 , 500, 1000, 2000, and 4000+.
Im not joking, and neither am i exaggerating... Thats how bad the repetition is.
At least for me its impossible to keep reading this novel, when the comedy - fights - harem - and everything else stays the same way for 4000+ chapters.
Enough is enough.
Which is also why i dropped the novel at chapter 2100(After checking some future chapters on 4000+) .

Be that as it may, i still suggest this novel to those interested in this genre. Some of you may have higher repetition resistance than this daoist....
If it werent for the next level repetition this would be amongst my best.

One of the greats of the cultivation community. If not for how decent this novel is (which is saying something in a world of terrible cultivation novels), then for how iconic it is, you should give it a try.

I’ve been reading Mtl and finally in the 4280s, ! Anyways, complete banger of a story, 10/10
