Aspiring to the Immortal Path仙路争锋

One of the best novel that I have read, It have smart MC and logically character development. Author have written detailed background of the world and cultivation theorys which intrigue you to read without any blind gaps or plot loopholes.

A young boy named Tang Jie was searching for a path into immortalhood when he happened to save an immortal in need, resulting in the latter owing him a karmic debt.

What? You want to repay me with mere Spiritual Enhancement Pills? Is that how cheap you view your life to be?

As a result, Xu Muyang ended up having to drag the brat with him. Isn’t this the plot of a will eternal? Which is pretty good and funny if you ask me idk about this one

It was quite interesting in the beginning, however it started repeating same plot armors with many loopholes.. I would rate 4/5 for beginning 150-200 chapters, later onwards its just 2.5/5....read if you want to pass time with no regard to plot holes...

the author is really good at writing frustrating protracted battles with blocs of irrelevant lore dumped right in the middle of action sequences

is this yaoi?

is this more xianxia or wuxia? From all the traditional chinese stuff in the first couple of chapters, I'd lean to it having a wuxia influence? or am I just looking way too much into this??

Getting kinda bored with the latest arc (finding a cultivation master for his young master). It's like almost 200 chapters of that...

I've read 94 chapters so far. It's very refreshing to read a cultivation story that stays away from things like easy power-ups and common tropes.
Especially satisfying when the author has the intelligence to write intelligent characters. MC shows his intelligence and maturity as a transmigrator very well. All of his 'moves' are planned and logical, as well as his enemy's reactions and planning, making a common cultivation plot very intriguing. Even minor/side characters are written really well.

MC holds onto the majority of his morals from earth, and so far tends to be more good-natured. (Personally, I am very pleased with this bc I'm sick of reading the cookie cutter xianxia personality of 'ruthless at the slightest offense', along with the thousands of 'cold-hearted' and 'ruthless' MCs that are actually just wicked angsty.)
However, based on the writing so far, the MC will experience growth on the road of cultivation that will inevitably change his character.

Also, quick but important reminder that aptitude≠talent. The writing encompasses this very well.

Among the many novels I've read, this one is the best at explaining things.

Only 6 months with a cultivator and the story went like he knows a lot in cultivation .. when he was just focusing in dao formation and the mantra he got.. although he has a old soul but hr came from earth not in cultivation world that stupidity....
And the explanation is too tiring .. explaining the insignificant thing of the story like its very important .. making the story longer but stagnant ...
I like the mc though calculative wise and know his goals ..
You should focus more on his progress than explaining the insignificant things..
