The math is so horrible here at chapter 685. Just for reference his stat of endurance or whatever is over 250. Modern weapons are introduced and he says a sniper rifle has attack power of 10,000. Here is the problem I’m pretty sure if you shoot a sniper it can’t penetrate 25 people in a row or even 10. And since he said an average humans END/DEF is 10 that’s for an adult hence if a sniper can’t penetrate 10 people in a row it’s attack power would be > 10x10 hence
Sniper dmg > 100
However he states it has 10,000 dmg hence. It also means one sniper shot penetrates 1,000 people lined up. Like come on.

So, I’ve read all 613 chapters available on WN by the time of this review, and I have to say, I like it, so far. MC is cold, analytical, less in tune with his emotions and highly intelligent. It’s not like he makes no mistakes, which would be weird since he’s a loner in a world where some families and governments had centuries to prepare for the plot, but so far, he makes the best with his limited knowledge and resources. Whilst I didn’t like the romance in Dimensional Descent and mc‘s golden retriever personality in regard to the fmc, the mc here is more possessive of his love interest. But not possessive like think, talk or fantasize about her and I’ll end you but more like „you can go out with who you want but know that I’ll kill them afterwards“. lol. That’s something he said to the fmc when she said that she doesn’t belong to him and he can’t just decide that they’re back together (they were broken up before the story starts). Sylas doesn’t get provoked easily but if you continue to push his buttons, he won’t forget. He’s the epitome of revenge is best served cold and doesn’t rush into vendetta if it’s not time sensitive and likes to plan things out. Even though he likes to think about himself as a rational, analytical personality, there are moments where more primal instincts break out or try to break out and honestly, it makes him more appealing as a reader. I prefer a mc with some flaws, tbh. One downside of this novel is the convoluted mess that’s the system. It gets really confusing as to what’s what but it’s bearable at the moment. The world building is great, you‘ll get introduced to new players but also a lot of recurring side characters, if they’re still alive.

Honestly, I don’t really like to read on WN since I’m barely making money as a student but this is one of two novels I‘m currently supporting over there with Privilege chapters and honestly hope that he‘ll keep up the quality till the end and won‘t put us through quality rollercoasters like on DD. Fingers crossed.

It's alright, I suppose. More coherent read than most of the trash coming from ScamNovel. The overarching plot seems interesting. I find myself skimming a lot of paragraphs. I hate repetition, which everything coming from ScamNovel has, cuz $.

Awespec's novel. So can I expect a good world background, a calculating MC, a very different system and a difficulty so infernal that it becomes abusive and exaggerated?

Of his works here at Ranobes, I can only read and recommend "Dimensional Descent". I simply couldn't stand the rest.
