A very decent story. It’s essentially set in an alternative world in the 1950-1960s, the MC starts from the bottom of the world, quite literally, and slowly builds his influence and his family and his underworld Empire.

The world building is amazing. I’ll say that much. The world is essentially an alternate America in the past, the American (Federation) dream, etc. I’m actually quite surprised that this was written by a chinese author with how well written it is.

The characters are decent, and the MC is likable. Overall, I can’t wait for more.

This one is for those that like Mafia, Underground Empire building etc. The MC is the boss, and we follow him from the ground up.

I will definitely keep an eye in this one.

Not bad at all, feels good to read even though I dont particularly enjoy the genre. Also PLEASE use the recomended feature on these novels so people can find similar novels please.

Lance is so f#cking cool

I find this novel deeply satisfying, in a sense that it describes real world fully. MC is smart, cunning fellow, but he isn't a complete bastard, he follows certain rules, but he knows when he need to throw them away. So far it's a very satisfying work in all fields: writing, characters that feel real, pacing is good, protagonist is satisfying to watch and it is about real world, even if it's in the past, which is rare.
If nothing changes for the worse or even becomes better then it deserves a solid 9,5/10, everything that was promised - was delivered. Definitely worth a read, although be advised that it might be a little heavy, because it describes the real world accurately and you can draw parallels with the real world of today on some events, which is not something some of us want to see, but you should give it a chance, you'll understand if you want to read it in the first 30 or so chapters.

Good novel. I’ve read the 500+ chapters of the novel and enjoyed it. Story is about an isekai waking up in a immigrant body in a mix of 1950’s/1960 newyork hong kong type environment. Becomes a a mob boss similar to the italian mafia. Doesnt shy away from protraying this life as unglamorous and messy. No idea how this translation is but I’d recommend the novel if you need a break from the typical power fantasy.
