One day, Song Shuhang was suddenly added to a chat group with many seniors that suffered from chuuni disease. The people inside the group would call each other ‘Fellow Daoist’ and had all different kinds of titles: Palace Master, Cave Lord, True Monarch, Immortal Master, etc. And even the pet of the founder of the group that had run away from home was called ‘monster dog’. They would talk all day about pill refining, exploring ancient ruins, or share their experience on techniques.

However, after lurking inside the group for a while, he discovered that not all was what it seemed… Collapse

On another note, I've returned and re-read all of it. As always it was great the MC's development was amazing, like the other characters that are one of the best, the MC has gained the Dao of
and is slowly reaching the pinnacle of that Dao.

I always thought he had a low-key invisible mastery of the Dao of the
        lol

Talent grades in the Novel (e.g. sword, staff, fist, saber, etc...), 0 is totally useless and 10 is peak genius in the whole world acknowledged by an immortal.

Lol, that's true. In the novel MC basically goes insane over that fact, when he also loves swords.

This novel is a well-deserved, one of those best-reads on this site.

The author is funny, tasteful, and offers a perspective of cultivation that's much more modern and realistic than usual, while there's some acceptable nonsensical elements that complement it.

To be honest, it is very refreshing, as there's no mc-aim-to-be-the-godking-of-the-universe; no uninteresting characters; no females-are-only-mine-syndrome, and the plot is very steady. This, alone, refresh me from the usual generic chinese light-novel.

Don't bother with the manhua, it started okay but later became so bad from the perspective of a novel reader. Many things were skipped and rushed.

I don't think those tags are applicable to the same degree as with other novels.

He isn't dense per se, dude is just not presumptuous and the women don't like him necessarily but more on interested with him. There might be something there, but someone has to pursue and it's normal if it takes months if not years for normal people before they pursue something romantic (so far it's only been 4 months or so in the story since it began)

As for naive, it's okay, the guy is NOT stupid which is the problem with a lot of naive protags. I mean Naruto is a beloved naive protag but he takes responsibility for his naivety and continuous to be "naive" fully knowing some people will take advantage. It's somewhat similar here but to a lesser degree. MC is a normal dude because he was raised in a normal environment so it's normal for him to act "naively". Plus, the first people he encountered (the chat group) are great people so in a way, he can afford to be naive. Lastly, the tone of the story allows this since it's comedic in nature.

To clarify tho, I'm not saying you shouldn't be worried, I'm just clarifying in case other people are curious or hesitant due to the same reasons.

Have fun with this title, it's pretty good though admittedly it's one where I stop every 200 chapters or so then just come back after a couple of weeks.

How can he be naïve when
        .

Besides which, the women in this novel don't automatically fawn and fall in love with the male protag on first sight. They are all highly respectable fairy maidens, most of whom are hundreds or thousands of years old. This is actually a lot more realistic than all those cultivation novels out there where the female cultivators fall right away for the male cultivators.

        It probably helps that
, they were all gunning down for his life and/or scared of him. He was worried his future love life ended because of that incident lol.

Honestly, with how important the "Dao Heart" is in those cultivation novels, the authors insist on dumbing down the love interests... Plot armor was NOT only for the male protagonists, the female cultivators got them too lol.

You need to read to understand the scenario. It's similar to a Dao Lecture (or whatever they call it). But on a much, much wider scale.

Kinda don’t feel like reading this because it only updates once a day and it’ll take 4 years to finish translating.....they should really have multiple translators working on this so they can pump out 4-5 chapters per day, then it’ll be done in less than a year. I’m also worried about whether the current translator will keep on translating for 4 years, since that’ll take a lot of dedication.

Brother, this isn't a story where the ending matters too much. It's a comedy, the journey is the essence here. Furthermore, something not being completed is actually more attractive. For me personally, at least.

Because if something isn't completed, I know I can read it twice. Once while it's still being updated, and then I reach the current 'end'. And then again when there's an official ending. In a book series, I'd have already read the whole series before choosing to start it again to get the whole experience. Meanwhile, in xianxia, I'd just start again, since no way can I remember the story.
