As Shin Youngwoo had an unfortunate life and is now stuck carrying bricks on construction sites. He even had to do labor in the VR game, Satisfy!

However, luck would soon enter his hopeless life. His character, ‘Grid’, would discover the Northern End Cave for a quest, and in that place, he would find ‘Pagma’s Rare Book’ and become a legendary class player… Collapse

I read up to about 1.4k chapters and it's good fun to turn your brain off.

    Pros:
    Character Development
    Flashy Power System
    Continual Progression in Power
    Relatively Deep World Building

    Neutral:
Inside a video game (arguable reduces stakes)
MC is overpowered very quickly (leaves all the other characters in the dust)
MC never truly fails, but still develops as a character (MC feels like a perfect android at times)

    Negatives:
MC goes from degenerate to a perfect construct of what a perfectly moral person looks like
MC's character develops in the absence of great failure or drama
Semi-Repetitive cycle: new challenge = new attack/weapon = new skill/item from killing said enemy. Although there is a cycle, the author changes up many things so its fine.

    Notes:
MC is strangely attached to a video game wife, and I dislike how he cannot disconnect his real life and video games. Also I think he lost his virginity in the game idk the specifics.

Although I dislike how they developed characters, I didn't read the story for drama rather a character that became over powered and gained cool powers to self insert into a power fantasy. I think the biggest issue I have is the fact that it is a video games, and at some point as a reader, the stakes became non-existent when you combine a video game + the mc never failing/being extremely overpowered.

Yes he did lose his virtual virginity to Irene. I would guess that the AIs inside the game at some point could grown into actual consciousness and be able to be downloaded on androids.

How the hell you lose your virtual virginity???? Do you just dm someone saying:
        "Hey bbg, 🍆?"
        "Omg yes 🍑!"

I don't understand why I am being downvoted. I also am not sure whether you know this is a Deep Dive VR game. In other words it is no different than reality. The same way you lose your virginity in the real world , the same way you lose it in VR.

Horrible start mc is stupid short sighted and greedy however if you can last like 100+ chapters and continue further you will realise that he has a heavy character development of personality and skills

nah grid is still constantly evolving and not just him but everything like plot, world-building, and character development.
It's clearly one of the best Korean novels.
Also, it's the first novel I have read and what got me to start reading novels.
it was the first novel that make me get goosebumps from the epic scene.

500 chapters in I've really fallen in love with this novel. It's a shame that people get turned off by Grid's initial personality as a shameful, greedy, and ugly loser with a persecution complex. It really is hard to like initial Grid, but with the translators note about his growth and seeing potential with the game itself and side characters it's nothing too hard to push through. The character growth Grid goes through is some of the best I've witnessed in a novel, as he is still growing to where I've reached, he's become quite charismatic with the help of family, friends, and self reflection and betterment. But it's not all about Grid, there's a whole cast of loveable or not so loveable but still well written characters. From his initial guild mates in Regas, Pon, Jishuka, etc and the people he meets along his way that change him and he also influences like Damian and Lauel who are both great. But if the game they play itself is badly put together like many VR novels I wouldn't stick around either. But Satisfy as a game seems genuinely fun. unlike a lot of other VR novels where level 0-1 or 1-2 takes days, they're grindy, tedious, and unfair as actually games. In this the penalty is not a factor for good people, like you will probably not drop your stuff, exp loss is a thing but it's according to level and as long as you aren't dumb or suck you will level. There's story lines, tons of classes and ways to play, hidden stuff everywhere to find, tons of rewarding systems, challenging gameplay (lol duh) but the skill floor is not too high but the skill ceiling is seemingly infinite. The world is varied with different dimensions, cities, and continents, with varied and lifelike NPCs spread throughout. On top of all that you can actually f#ck and have kids. This is a solid 4.2/5, points off since I haven't finished it and the initial shitty grid (edited to lower score, as further chapters (1400+)don't lose quality just personally find them less entertaining.

    Update at the end !
Started reading this as synopsis promises great novel but bad start :) have gotten to around chapter 60 so I do have to say that this novel is really really bad at start, There are some extreme plot railroading involved, mainly because MC's personality is so bad that he literally refuses to do anything to progress the plot. Another thing that will slowly make you feel your brain dying is how the whole world, ingame and real seems to be extremely hostile towards MC, like the guy cant catch a break. Tries to change or be good but everybody just Sh*ts on him. Excuse me for the lack of better word. So basically one could say that all the bad points of MC are caused by his surroundings and thats just him reacting in a way to keep himself safe from harm.

Anyhow enough about that, I will keep on reading to see if it gets better as many have promised, just thought I would shoot out a strong warning to all that beginning is utter garbage, even though the setting and world building is good enough.

Will update when I get there. As promised update at chapter 140, this means its past chapter 90 that was said to be the turning point.

Basically I can say safely that the novel/MC/world does improve a lot and chapter 90 can be called as a turning point, it will slowly improve and at chapter 140 you can safely say its a lot better. At least I don't feel like I loose braincells when reading.

Main thing I noticed was that I was starting to enjoy reading this and can't wait to see what we have instore so far. Hopefully this continues in upwards trend.

Even though MC improves a huge issue is that author cant seem to write a good consistent mass fight scene. Always jumpin perspectives and every perspective retells happenings from hours before the last one. Basically fight scenes are an inconsistent mess where you are left scratching your head and wondering what the hell is happening. Like imagine an urgent situation and ppl dying.. but wait lets go back 3 hours or more and talk about how MC managed to drink milk and eat beef and thats not just the end of it as we will switch to a random side character and start anothee unrelated story while the fight is on pause.

would be cool for the mc if he became more OP because of the gears he created then the game world /virtual reality would merge in the reality coz of some shit happening, retaining his stuffs and skill.

    overall, this novel is great.
the MC's transition from a idiotic, dumb, and lazy person to a great guy. at first i really think that this novel is kinda stupid. coz of how the mc behaves. But as the mc's personality changed for the better through the help of his friends and by reflecting on his past mistakes. it was great. it was also fun to read coz of some comedic stuff that mc does.

This story has fast become one of my favorites. I admit the beginning the MC seems dumb, but it's in a humorous way. He definitely has a defeatist complex and lacks self-esteem, but all of this changes throughout the story. If you have ever wanted to read a story where the MC truly improves his abilities, mind and confidence this is the story for you. He overcomes obstacles and his personal trauma while building relationships. Side characters are also well developed, and author makes you care about everything going on. The only thing disappointing is that the chapters do not come out every day.
