              I've already dabbled in the MTL, and plan to finish reading an entire unfinished novel of MTL, and have read half of a larger novel's MTL. I can say my brain is where the turbid waste goes in those cultivation novels during a break through.

I've been using the site since cause the rankings are better and my taste is more in line with the readers here than novelupdates or ww or wbn.               I’m pretty sure I found this website before the paywall on wuxiaworld to read some other novels but only fully switched to here after the paywall, I think that’s also the time when there were a lot more novels to read on this site. Now I’m mostly on readerhub and fictionzone because of the same reason, more novels to find and read. I do hope panic makes an MTL page here since the comments feature here is just way better and plus the community is good, especially since I know a lot of the people here.

                  There are several obstacles on the way to the ominous MTL:

                  - I alone am not enough for two directions, I have a job in real life and websites are a hobby.

                  - there is no specific reason/benefit for Ranobes MTL, because there is already a wtr-lab, mtlnovels, readhab etc.

                  - online library sites, including MTL, are now classified as "pirates", in other words, "a lot of investment of time, effort, resources, but very little return."

                  There is no need for another dead MTL site, "he who chases two rabbits catches neither."

                  (Pardon me for my lack of knowledge, however, ranobes has a great ui, active community and people who are not restricted to say what they believe in, which is very attractive to most readers the only thing lacking here is a MTL page to keep the readers with growing abilities here.

                  From what i see, the creation of the MTL page would bring new readers from those sites you mentioned, making them obsolete, and retain readers like golden originally stated, with the proper use of adds you could bring a sizable increase in revenue.

        I’ve been on MTL sites as well since maybe almost a year ago, and fully stopped reading here like 4 months ago, just occasionally checking in for any good new novels. I do have to say the MTL is pretty readable, that or I’m so out of touch with proper grammar and my brain has been rotted by the MTL…. Me being able to understand the pinyin definitely helps too I’m sure.

    This is an early review (ch 44.2 translated)
    Be aware that while I won't write direct spoilers I will give a general outline of what to expect.

    If we consider Mutated Tao to be for the mystery and horror niche fans, then this novel is for the broad public.
    While horor and mystery are definitely the right tags it might aswell be a SCP resiknned urban dungeon delving novel. Fans of adventure stories will likely also find it a fun read.

    The story mainly revolves around solving one case after another with litte unsolved mysteries left after the fact.
    Instead the inbetween time mainly consists of humor regarding surviving in a crazy company that is making money of said mysteries (called darkness) and accumulating strength by collecting new items.
    This is obviously still early in the novel and a lot of things can change.

    Overall I'd say, strong points are the great pacing and consistent writing. The darkness solving is nothing super innovative but real fun to read with a pinch of suspension during every darkness to keep you going.

    I'd say that characters and emotional investment are the weak points.
    The characters are not one dimensional but also not three dimensional. It's hard to feel for them and there is nothing beyond their assigned roles or tropes for now.

    Conclusion: go right ahead and read. There is little to dislike and I'd put it in the casual fun reading category. I'd go so far and say those having apprehension bc of the horror tag. Don't worry too much. I'd say the level is a bit more suspenseful adventure genre.

    Normally I don't write reviews this early but I want to help those who are undecided if they should try, hope it helped.

    It's a great story, the main thing is that the plot is not typical for escape type stories. There are 80 chapters, so we can only wait for an update on the author's profile..
