The Mech Touch by Exlor

Estimated time till this is completed? Also what is this really about, I liked the legendary mechanic but does this Ves guy get any stronger or just better mechs?

It is a pretty good novel and I enjoy a lot about it. So if you are interested in Mech's I'd recommend the read. Even though for the first however many chapters the Author can't Pilot a Mech. I haven't gotten to a point in the story where he could yet so maybe it happens later *shrug.*

The Author doesn't seem to have a very clear understanding of physics, science, or warfare in general (especially in space) so if you are expecting life like battles (especially the large scale ones with actual tactics that make sense) you may get frustrated by their weird logic. Often more practical methods are not used in favor of more Mech on Mech battles. Which really isn't surprising as the Novel is about Mechs.

The good news is if you get bored of certain chapters that seem to be just a ramble you can skip without affecting the story too much. I'm around chapter 400, and could have probably safely skipped 1/2 the chapters.

The only reason I keep reading is because of the superb world building
Currently 3000 chapters in. I will hold it for now and wait for the chapter count to reach maybe 4000 since progress is really slow.

I've read a couple of reviews now and not once did they talk about romance. I'm a huge fan of romantic genres, so how's the romance in this novel ? For now i'll just bookmark it.

the world building is great. you can actually really get into it. most large novels end up contradicting and coming up with random stuff after a certain point but this one keeps it at a minimal. it is super slow and personally i just skipped chapters if i felt the upcoming arc was useless. like that war service arc i had no clue what happened but i could keep reading without any problems. i am at chapter 3240 and i have got to say the middle of the novel sucks but if you can get past the slow bits there are a lot of interesting arcs.

I'm on chapter 3091 right now, which is almost the current end. The first thing I want to note is that this world is realistic. There are a lot of details. Sometimes too much. There were periods when it was too long, I put it aside. BUT! I knew it would be interesting next, and I was right! THE SECOND! The story is consistently good, as we wrote below, the quality does not fall, and if the author does not decide to take a shortcut, then this is not even half of the story. At the expense of comparing with xianxia. I do not know who said it, but he could not be more wrong. There is no cultivation here. Yes, there are stages of development here. But according to this logic, all books about magicians and evolution will also become faded. Here evolution is through consciousness or soul, to put it simply. Even now we don't understand what it is. I want to mention that there are a lot of ideas in the book. I started to understand some points in business and politics after reading this. The only question is whether you can spot them. I don't see any point in saying anything else. Everything is already said.

Finally, just this.

In every chapter where I am now (I don't remember what happened to the previous chapters), 8-20 comments are stable. On average, there are 15 of them. And it's okay if it's just a number, but people write a diploma on the topic "why the main character *******" almost everything, and arrange a debate. As soon as the characters and the author are covered with a good layer of swearing, this bunch of addicts will sit down to wait for the next dose. Draw conclusions.
