For new LOTM readers I suggest reading only 10-15 chapters per day for better experience, that way you can digest it better. Usually we tend to binge read 30-40 or even upto 50 chapters a day but this one is different. Story gets more interesting as you think and speculate after reading chapters. Read slowly and savour the story instead of rushing it. satisfied

In fact, if you like to read avidly, this book can also be read avidly, just after reading, after a while, you can take it and re-read it again.

It is fine, not everything is for everyone. I latched in the SCP items because i find them really interesting and after stayed for the overarching plot it was a fun ride.
But if there is nothing gripping you, do what you must. I dislike heavily the custom of is good after X quantity chapters like Overgeared

The SCP Wiki is a collaborative speculative fiction website about the SCP Foundation, a secretive organization that contains anomalous or supernatural items and entities away from the eyes of the public.

They contain multiple anomalies, which are classified by Danger/Damage level, Containment Difficulty, and Disruption ability. Each entry on the wiki usually contains a Special Containment Procedure, A description and also an Addendum for Test logs and Discovery. However, this isn't always the case.

There are multiple anomalous organizations and people that all have different goals, and different reasons. For example: The Foundation, whose purpose is to Contain and Study anomalies, and prevent the public from discovering or being harmed by them.

Ever heard of The Sculpture? It's a concrete statue that can only move when it is not being directly observed. But if you look away? BAM! Your neck Is snapped! That's SCP-173, which was the first SCP to ever be imagined. This is just one example of the more than 7000 SCPs on the SCP wiki.

you're not alone, even I who really like LoTM used to read it so I can go to sleep, lol. First "book" is incredibly SLOW. It's not to the point that it's boring but it's near there. But yeah, iirc at around chapter 180 something changes, it's a minor change but you'll feel it, it's near the end of book one, and book one's ending is so f#cking bombastic that it practically makes up for all the slowness earlier.

Good thing too that LoTM's pace is exponential but it starts at .0000000000000001 speed. It really ramps up after book 1 up to the point where it is difficult to put the book down.

I kept with it and used it to fall asleep at first, then I couldn't fall asleep until I finished the thing after book 1, lol.

This novel is translated not just day by day with the original, but I would say hour by hour. As soon as the Chinese chapter comes out, after a while, something like 1 hour, the English translation chapter comes out. So, you either have to read 1 chapter, or abandon the novel for a while.

I know you got bored reading one chapter a day. Here's my recommendation: Read Fire Mage: https://ranobes.net/novels/748695-fire-mage.html (This novel has a similar vibe to LOTM). I know I sound like a salesman, It's my honest opinion.

The first 100 or so chapters are incredibly frustrating as mc behaves like an idiot. Although there is a reason for it but still I felt 100 chapters of it are a bit too much. But after that yeah it does have some lotm vibes and is a pretty good novel.

When i started the original novel didnt find it that good at the beggining, but the concept of SCP related phenomenon with the clasic tropes was beyond interesting and then went from 20 to 100km and it got me.
Have mixed feeling that there is not more SCP related works but i get it, it is a legal nightmare for what little i know

    Haven't even read LOTM yet...
Its genres are Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological and Supernatural.

Doesn't have an ounce of softness/ fluffiness/ wholesomeness sigh
I would have been happy if the mc had a spouse in the background.
